Relaxing at Cabo Verde

Hi guys!

As my trip is running to an end, I’m trying to make my last weeks of travel as relaxed as possible. This week I’m visiting Cabo Verde, a series of beautiful islands. Temperatures are always great so this is perfect to go to the beach. I brought my Tiny Minnie Couture outfit cause it has a handy beach bag and towel. My whole outfit is perfectly put together, don’t you think?

I’m happy to be soon heading home, so I can start preparing for Halloween, and after that the holidays!

Namastay in Africa!

Almost at the end of my trip…

 One of the last stops I make is at Côte d’Ivoire. This is a country in West-Africa. Lots of women still wear traditional clothes here. They wear dresses in bright colors that are called pagnes. With the dresses go matching head scarves. Or they wear a blouse with a long piece of cloth that is wrapped around their waist like a skirt. The men wear shorts, or also wrap pieces of cloth around them.

 Before the end of my trip, I really need to be relaxed. This way I can start working on my new collection with fresh energy. So I’m doing some yoga with friends to recharge my battery.

 What is your ultimate way to relax?

Pupating in Madagascar

Hello there,

 My trip is almost coming to an end. To finish up I’m making my way through Africa. I landed in Madagascar, for a sunny getaway. I’ll visit the Avenue of the Baobabs later on. The Baobab is a typical tree you can find in Madagascar.

 Did you know Madagascar is known for their terrific silk-production? The cocoons of the caterpillar of the silk butterfly are used for silk fabric. Making silk is a very delicate process. As soon the caterpillar has made his cocoon, it’s carefully cut out of them and placed into a protected environment to grow up. After the cocoon is harvested, it’s washed, dried, ironed and sewed into a larger piece of fabric. Amazing how every fabric has its own story!

King of the desert

Hi guys,

 I’m still in the desert of Morocco. One thing I really had to do when I was here, was riding a camel. So I went on a camel ride through the palmgardens of Marrakesh and the countryside, where I saw traditional villages and a lot of green palm trees.

 Riding a camel was a big adventure as it was wiggly to get on and off the animal! A camel bows his front knees so you can hop on or off, which makes you lose your balance for a while. But we got back safe.

 I’m wearing my long pants to protect my skin and a scarf to protect my head from the sun.

Desert dreams

Hello there, strangers!

 This week I’m visiting a city that’s a huge inspiration for designing the most colorful clothes, Marrakesh. With its small streets full of shops and the big Medina, it is great to walk around and get inspired.

 What I also wanted to do when I’m here, is go to the desert. That’s why I took a trip to the well-known Sahara desert. I got spoiled with the most fantastic landscapes! I even slept in a tent in the Sahara.

 What is your favorite thing to do, a citytrip or a trip to nature? I can’t choose!
