Hi guys,
I arrived at the Czech Republic today. This is a cute country with a lot of history. On the picture I’m standing on the Charles Bridge in Prague. This bridge is a famous one that’s build over the Moldawa in Prague. The bridge connects the Old Town with the neighbourhood Malá Strana. King Charles IV put the first stone of the bridge on July 9th, 1357. At first, the bridge was called ‘Stone Bridge’, but in 1870 they changed it to Charles Bridge.
The bridge is 516 meters long and almost 10 meters wide. It’s decorated with 30 statues. Most of them in the style of baroque, placed there between 1683 and 1714. Quite old, huh? Did you know the historical city center of Prague is on the list of UNESCO world heritage? So much history contained by one city. It’s amazing!
I’m going to stroll around in this cozy city.
Bye!
Dollie
